- Weighted avg: $21,600 ÷ 11,000 = $1.964/lb

Three-species mixed catch

Assumptions & Conventions
- Weighted average basis
- Average is weighted by pounds in each category, so larger categories influence the result more than smaller ones.
- Unused categories
- Categories with zero pounds and zero price are treated as unused and ignored. If a category has pounds but no price (or price but no pounds), the calculator asks for the missing value rather than silently treating it as unused.
