Calculation
- Total patties = 30 × 1 = 30
- Lbs beef = 30 × 4 ÷ 16 = 7.5 lb
7.5 lb beef → 30 patties
Assumptions & Conventions
- Patty weight is user-entered arithmetic
- Pounds of beef come from patties × patty weight ÷ 16; patty weight is what you enter, with no external dataset.
- Patties per person is a default you can change
- The calculator starts with a default of 1 patty per person, which you can change; it is not a universal recommendation.
- Beef only — buns and toppings separate
- It covers the beef only; plan buns (one per patty) and toppings separately.
