Examples
8×4 ft bed, 18 in rows
8 ft long × 4 ft wide, 18 in between rows
Calculation
- Row spacing: 18 in = 1.5 ft
- Rows across 4 ft: floor(4 ÷ 1.5) = 2 rows
- Total row length: 2 × 8 = 16 ft

Assumptions & Conventions
- Row count
- Rows = floor(bed width ÷ row spacing); rows are placed on the spacing grid across the bed width.
- Total row length
- Total length = number of rows × bed length.
- Edge margin
- Uses the full bed width on the spacing grid; subtract a margin from the width first if you want edge clearance.
